Our First Ocean Conservation Dive in Cebu

On May 26th, 2025, we proudly partnered with Palautong Freedivers in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, to host our first sponsored ocean cleanup dive — a heartwarming success that united eco-conscious freedivers, conservationists, and ocean lovers for a purpose that truly matters.

Set against the stunning coastal waters of The Beach Park – Hadsan, dozens of participants gathered not just to dive but to make a difference. With mesh bags in hand and hearts aligned, they removed marine debris, raised awareness, and fostered stewardship for the reefs we all cherish.

We’re deeply grateful to the resort for supporting this cause — and to the man whose passion made it possible.

Meet the Heart Behind Palautong Freedivers: Instructor,  Anthony Apa

What began as heartbreak turned into healing and purpose. Anthony Apa, founder of Palautong Freedivers, transformed his personal story into a movement for ocean conservation.

He shared with us:

“After a difficult breakup, I needed a way to heal. I found peace in freediving — and eventually, purpose. What started as a small group of friends grew into Palautong Freedivers, now over 70 members strong. Together, we dive to clean, protect, and honor the ocean that healed us.”

Anthony’s group has led multiple coastal cleanups, including several last year, and continues to inspire others to take action.
